We just finished a 12-day, 2500 mile driving vacation in the Intermountain West of the USA. We departed Mesa, AZ, drove through Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, and back to Arizona. We visited family and saw many beautiful sites, experiencing a few adventures along the way. We returned safe and well, but, oh, so tired. My beloved spouse (of 7 months) and I are both in our '70s. I'm further in than is she. We found the travels fun but punishing, unlike it would have been 30 years ago.
